Job Description: * Tray delivery to units * Nourishment delivery to patients’ room * Transportation of patient food carts to and from patient care unit * Meal service (meal tray assembly) * Portion hot beverages * Work in dish room/ cleaning duties * Clean pots/ collect garbage, sanitize garbage containers, clean up spills * Performs other related duties as required Qualifications * Grade 12 education or equivalent * Knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP) an asset. * Mandatory, valid food handlers’ certificate * Previous hospital experience working in Nutrition & Food Services an asset * Ability to work under minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks * Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential * Customer service skills essential * Basic math skills required * Ability to work as part of a team * A positive work and attendance record is essential Language Ability: * Effective verbal/written communication skills in English are essential.
