Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Delivery Driver to join our Operations team. Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering products along established routes. Key responsibilities include the proper loading and unloading of company vehicles, recording delivery information, and ensuring vehicle and product safety. The Delivery Driver is expected to operate the company vehicle safely, comply with all traffic laws, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Core Duties & Responsibilities Operate the company vehicle and deliver products to customers safely and efficiently. Load and unload products in a safe and organized manner. Verify all load-related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Deliver products over established routes. Operate the company vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road. Comply with all company policies and procedures related to deliveries. Record delivery information and report any issues encountered during the route. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, co-workers, and the public, both verbally and in writing. Conduct inspections before, during, and after deliveries to ensure loads are secure. Ensure products are protected from weather and other environmental elements. Deliver products in a courteous and timely manner. Follow instructions and provide feedback regarding customer issues, mechanical problems, or delivery challenges. Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. Adhere To All Company Health & Safety Policies. As per the Insurance Requirements the minimum age should be 23 years Skill Factors (education, experience, communication, technical, etc.) Clean criminal background check Clean driver's abstract Valid G - class driver’s license Minimum 1 year of cargo van driving experience. Professional and mature demeanor under stressful situations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and self-direct Effort Factors (physical and mental demands) Sitting, walking, standing, and carrying objects. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 70 lbs, and occasionally lift/push up to 50 lbs. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions Standard shifts are 10 hours; additional hours may be required as business needs dictate. Continuous driving with frequent stops. Flexibility is required to support peak schedules and operational demands. Work schedule is based on a 7-day workweek. Weekend work may be required to support business needs. Hours may change at the discretion of the company. Exposure to outdoor and varying weather conditions. Over- time as required Personal Protective Equipment (Mandatory) CSA - certified safety shoes Company branded Safety vest Operational Effectiveness Successfully manage daily delivery production volumes. Deliver according to service and quality standards. Escalate issues appropriately. Support organizational change initiatives. Adapt to process and procedural changes.
