Functions: A Part-Time Professor is required for the following course: Term Course code Course title Faculty Winter 2027 ISC 3305 000 Postcolonial and Decolonial Communication Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy Description of the delivery mode:[GD1] This type of course is offered in the classroom, in the presence of the professor and students. Date Schedule Mode of Delivery Language January 11 to April 14, 2027 Thursdays 1:30-4:30 PM In person EN Course description: Introduction to theoretical approaches in postcolonial and decolonial communication. Analysis of the role of media in the reproduction and contestation of racial and colonial inequalities. Analysis of power relations, media representations, dominant narratives, and discourses through critical frameworks drawn from decolonial, postcolonial, Indigenous, Black and Global South studies. Introduction to antiracist and decolonial communication practices. Required experience and qualifications: * Active research or professional experience in postcolonial and decolonial communications * Master's or PhD degree in communication or related fields * Passive proficiency in the second official language * Sensitivity to multiple differences (including abilities, genders, and cultures) and to students' concerns. * Proficiency with both in-person and online learning tools Please submit your application (letter of intent and CV) online using the job posting system, by September 29, 2026[GD2] , 11:59 PM.
