Stress and strain, introduction to deformational behaviour of rocks. Origin of folds, foliations, lineations, joints and faults. Geometrical analysis. Labs will include simple experiments and advanced map problems. We require an instructor with a post-graduate degree (MSc or PhD) or equivalent expertise in Earth Sciences, and demonstrated experience in structural geology.
