COG401H1F – Seminar in Cognitive Science Advanced treatment of cognitive science topics for arts majors. Possible topics include: concepts, consciousness, the mind-body problem, cognitive science and the arts. Minimum qualifications: A Master’s degree in Cognitive Science or a related field (e.g., Linguistics, Psychology, Philosophy, Computer Science) is required. Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. preferred; experience teaching in a university environment preferred; relevant background in Cognitive Science required. Candidates should have previous experience in developing and delivering curriculum for university students; experience in teaching research methods and/or with experiential learning activities or service learning would be an asset Description of Duties: Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. The Sessional Lecturer is responsible for the design and delivery of the COG401H1F seminar, including preparing course content and facilitating in-person instruction. Additional duties include developing and grading assignments, administering exams, and holding regular office hours for students.

A Master’s degree in Cognitive Science or a related field is required, with a Ph.D. preferred. Candidates must have previous experience in developing and delivering university-level curriculum.
