Our Data Center group is currently looking to add a Site Superintendent to our growing team, based in Port Hawkesbury, NS. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Superintendent acts as the overall site owner, coordinating all moving pieces across trades and work scopes on an active data center construction project. This role is the single point of accountability for site-wide progress; the one person with visibility into everything happening on the job, from civil and structural through electrical, mechanical, and medium voltage systems. Please Note: this is a field-based position working a shift of 6 days on / 1 day off, with 10 hour days. Duties And Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site point of coordination across all work scopes, including substation, transmission line, and pump house construction Coordinate and sequence structural, electrical, plumbing/mechanical, and medium voltage termination work across multiple subcontractors and crews Manage subcontractor performance, scheduling, and coordination to ensure work fronts progress without conflict or delay Oversee day-to-day site execution, resolving scope conflicts and interface issues between trades in real time Administer and enforce the project's QA/QC program across all work scopes Ensure all site activity complies with local regulations, codes, and permitting requirements Maintain daily communication with project leadership on progress, risks, and schedule impacts Support site safety culture and ensure subcontractors adhere to Valard's safety policies and procedures Maintain accurate site records including daily logs, subcontractor progress, and QA/QC documentation Requirements 5+ years of experience in a similar Site Superintendent role, ideally on general contractor-scoped projects overseeing multiple trades General contractor superintendent experience with demonstrated oversight across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural/building scopes Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors across multiple concurrent work scopes Working knowledge of QA/QC program administration and local regulatory/code compliance Valid driver's license Preferred Skills / Qualifications Experience on data center, critical facilities, or large industrial construction projects Experience coordinating substation, transmission, or medium voltage termination work Post-Secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, including an RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.
