Role Description The Sales Associate role at Vange Guitars is an on-site position based in Markham, ON. This is a full-time role focused on in-store customer service, including greeting customers, identifying their needs, and providing product recommendations for guitars, accessories, and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include answering product questions, explaining features and benefits, processing sales and returns, maintaining accurate point-of-sale transactions, and ensuring displays and inventory on the sales floor are organized and visually appealing. The Sales Associate also supports basic inventory checks, restocking, and coordination with the team to meet sales goals and deliver a consistently positive customer experience. Qualifications Demonstrated customer service and retail sales skills, with the ability to engage customers, understand their needs, and close sales. Basic knowledge of guitars, musical instruments, or audio equipment, or a strong willingness to learn and develop product expertise. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear, professional verbal communication. Ability to handle point-of-sale systems, manage cash and card transactions accurately, and follow standard retail procedures. Organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple customers, maintain store cleanliness, and support merchandising tasks. Capability to work on-site in Markham, ON, including standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting or moving inventory. Prior retail experience is an asset; experience in a music or specialty store environment is considered a strong plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in music, business, or related fields is beneficial.
