The Role The Intermediate Accountant plays an important role in supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions for the Corporate Office, subsidiaries, and select assets across the Vantage network. This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. The position will work closely with Finance, FP&A, Financial Reporting, business leaders, banking partners, auditors, and other external stakeholders. ­ Major Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries for the Corporate Office, subsidiaries, and assigned assets. Review accounts payable invoices and prepare accounts receivable invoices as required. Prepare monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, working papers, and supporting schedules. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and reconciliations. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual fluctuations, and variances. Support accounting treatments in accordance with US GAAP, including ASC 606 as applicable. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities. Provide financial information and analysis to FP&A for management reporting as required. Liaise with business leaders to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial support. Liaise with banks, auditors, and other external parties as required. Assist with audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation. Monitor and prepare regulatory and compliance documentation for assigned sites. Perform month-end close and reconciliations across multiple airport/transportation sites within the Vantage network, maintaining consistency across entities with differing local requirements. Assist with finance system implementations, conversions, and other accounting projects. Contribute to process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting and reporting. Maintain accurate, organized, and complete accounting records and working papers. Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned. ­ About You You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or other related discipline CPA designation, or in process of obtaining designation 3-5 years of accounting experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar industry Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements Experience in multi-entity, multi-site environments with varying local requirements. Compensation: The expected annual compensation for this position includes a base salary plus eligibility for an annual incentive. The expected annual compensation for this position includes a base salary of CAD $65,000 to $89,000 plus eligibility to participate in the Company's annual incentive program.
