<p>Recreation Coordinator&#160; &#160; A Little About Us: &#160;Chateau Three Hills is a vibrant, supportive retirement residence located in the community of Three Hills, Alberta.</p><p>Residents value the sense of security and comfort that comes with living in a safe place where their needs are always taken care of and where our skilled team of employees is there to assist them 24/7, if the need ever arises.</p><p>About the position,&#160; as&#160;a Recreational Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring a positive relationship between the site and the community at large.</p><p>You will arrange and coordinate education and outreach activities for the residents.</p><p>Additionally, you will manage all aspects of the volunteer program, including fundraising initiatives and labor utilization.</p><p>Your responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating social and recreational programs within the retirement community, and reaching out to local community members to recruit pay-for-service participants.</p><p>Moreover, you manage confidential clerical and administrative functions, take charge of marketing and execution &#160; Compensation: &#160; Starting Pay: $23.71/hr Post Probation Period: $24.60/hr &#160; Job Responsibilities: Complete a Resident Social History for each resident at Chateau Three Hills, then plan, promote, deliver, and evaluate social, recreational, and therapeutic programs for individuals and groups.</p><p>Create and share resident communications (newsletters, posters, calendars, notices, activity schedules) to promote programs and special events.</p><p>Work&#160;closely with department heads to encourage teamwork, support key initiatives, and help keep priorities moving forward Design inclusive, resident-centered programs that support connection and engagement across diverse interests and lifestyles.</p><p>Lead and encourage participation in a variety of activities and outings (fitness, walking club, arts and crafts, gardening, games, and special events).</p><p>Prepare activity spaces and ensure supplies and equipment are organized, safe, and ready for use.</p><p>Coordinate the volunteer program (recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing evaluation) to support programming and fundraising.</p><p>Provide direction to staff and volunteers supporting recreation services; coordinate on-site special events.</p><p>Track program effectiveness, recommend improvements, and stay current on best practices in senior wellness and social programming.</p><p>Build community partnerships to bring in entertainment and resources, and coordinate community engagement opportunities (shopping, entertainment, day trips).</p><p>Support community-facing programs as assigned, including drop-in programming and Meals on Wheels outreach.</p><p>Maintain inventory, report equipment issues to the Community Manager, and keep recreation areas and storage spaces clean and organized.</p><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>&#160; Do you possess these special skills?</p><p>Strong administrative skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.</p><p>Comfortable using Canva to design social media postings, program calendars, posters, and other resident engagement materials.</p><p>A genuine passion for working with seniors and creating meaningful, person-centered recreation experiences.</li><li>&#160; Education &amp;&#160;Experience Required: Administrative Assistant Certification, Event Planning, and/ or Diploma in Marketing Certificate or diploma from a recognized recreation program or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of basic marketing terminology is considered an asset.</p><p>Highly organized with strong time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>Friendly, professional, and service-oriented; able to build positive relationships with resident
