Animal Care Attendant Location: Scarborough, ON Department: ER/ICU Employment Type: Full-time Job Status: Existing Compensation: $19.00 - $20.50 per hour, depending on experience and skills At Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital we welcome a dependable and outgoing Animal Care Attendant to join our ICU team, in Scarborough, Ontario. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities which directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the department. What You Will Do Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents Schedule: Enjoy predictable time off with a 4-on, 4-off rotational schedule! You will work four consecutive 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), followed by four days off, including rotating weekends and holidays. The ability to stay calm, gentle, and adaptable under pressure and in fast-paced medical situations. A genuine eagerness to learn, grow your clinical skills, and support our veterinary team with daily tasks and treatments. Previous experience with animal care.
