Veterinarian, DVM Employment Type: Contract, Full-Time (Maternity Leave Coverage) License required: Full license Job Status: Existing Compensation: $115,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience and skills. Bayview Animal Hospital is welcoming a full-time Veterinarian to our team in Ottawa, Ontario, for a maternity leave coverage opportunity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who values building lasting relationships with pet parents and our support team to provide exceptional care. Key Responsibilities Compassionate Patient Care: Deliver high-quality medicine through thorough physical examinations, diagnostic workups, and individualized treatment and wellness plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Team Collaboration & RVT Utilization: Champion a collaborative, team-based practice model by delegating and actively partnering with RVTs and clinical assistants to work to the top of their scope. Client Communication & Education: Build lasting relationships with pet parents through clear, empathetic discussions regarding diagnoses, treatment options, preventive wellness, and home-care plans. Mentorship & Continuous Learning: Participate in hospital rounds, share knowledge, and mentor junior associates, students, or support team members. Participation in Team Training: Support, train and mentor new graduates What You Bring A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in Canada. Flexible availability to work a mix of weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.
