This role is ideal for Medical Office Assistant seeking Canadian clinical exposure while working within a non-regulated support role under physician supervision.The successful candidate will support both clinical operations and administrative workflows, contributing to efficient, high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support Prepare and room patients for appointments Collect patient information, medical histories, medications, and allergies Record vital signs and prepare charts for physician review Administer vaccines and injections as directed by the physician Perform basic dressings and simple wound care Assist physicians during minor procedures by preparing rooms, instruments, and equipment Draft clinical notes, referral letters, and summaries for physician sign-off Provide physician-approved patient education and instructions Maintain exam room cleanliness, infection control, and sterilization standards Administrative & Operations Greet patients and support smooth clinic flow Input, edit, and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and correspondence Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and diagnostic test tracking Maintain confidential patient records in compliance with PHIPA Support billing, insurance forms, and general administrative tasks Manage scheduling, phone calls, faxes, and front-desk responsibilities Qualifications Medical Office Assistant diploma or equivalent experience preferred International Medical Graduate (IMG) with completed medical degree strongly preferred Knowledge of EMR systems and clinical workflows Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment CPR/First Aid certification preferred What We Offer: Full-time, stable employment Supportive, multidisciplinary team environment Opportunities for professional growth within Verismo Health Inc.
