Emergency Veterinarian - Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital & Wellness Centre Full-time | 24-hour Emergency & Critical Care | $50,000 Bonus Package Are you an Emergency Veterinarian looking for a supportive team, diverse caseload, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to practice alongside experienced clinicians? Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital & Wellness Centre is looking for a veterinarian to join our collaborative 24-hour emergency and critical care team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We offer a unique combination of emergency, wellness, and referral medicine, giving our veterinarians the opportunity to see a diverse caseload while working alongside a highly experienced clinical and support team. Why Bridgwater? Our team is built on collaboration and support. With 7 full-time DVMs, 25 RVTs, and more than 50 support team members, no one practices alone. Our DVM team brings approximately 90 years of combined veterinary experience, including three dedicated mentor veterinarians who are experienced, long-term emergency clinicians. We currently support both a new graduate and a restricted-license DVM, reflecting our commitment to mentorship and professional growth. Our team provides opportunities to learn from experienced clinicians across emergency medicine, surgery, imaging, rehabilitation, and more. Dr. Sra leads our orthopedic services and ultrasound, while two of our DVMs perform endoscopy procedures. We also hold monthly department meetings to review cases, discuss protocols, and continually improve patient care. Our veterinarians are encouraged to explore areas of medicine that interest them, observe procedures, and take part in hands-on learning opportunities. Our veterinarians manage emergency and critical cases alongside wellness and referral medicine, with access to: Manitoba’s first and only pet-specific CT scanner Ultrasound Digital radiology and dental radiology In-house IDEXX laboratory Fluoroscopy Rigid and flexible endoscopy Orthopedic and soft tissue surgery Dedicated physical rehabilitation Therapeutic laser Underwater treadmill Acupuncture and physiotherapy Visiting dermatology, ophthalmology, and dental specialists Our hospital provides the tools, technology, and support needed to manage complex cases while maintaining a collaborative approach to patient care. Our DVMs and RVTs are also supported in completing RECOVER CPR certification, including coverage for recertification.
