Please note that the candidate may be based in one of our 4 offices: Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto or Ottawa. The role Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Economic Benefits & Partnerships, the Senior Advisor, Indigenous Economic Participation, will be a key contributor in developing and executing strategies for the Alto Project with a strong focus on optimizing socio-economic benefits and fostering strong Indigenous relations for the Project. The Senior Advisor will work in close collaboration with the Indigenous Relations team and Alto’s other internal functions (including technical, legal, finance, etc.). The responsibilities * Support the development and execution of socio-economic benefit approaches and initiatives (including but not limited to Indigenous procurement, employment, training, business development and community readiness) with Indigenous communities along the Alto high speed rail corridor. * Collaborate with Indigenous partners to support the development of strategics that promote economic opportunities. * Lead research and policy analysis, including the design of engagements, roundtable discussions with experts, and develop reports that inform decision-making. * Participate in tables with the private development partner, government officials, and Indigenous partners. * Prepare presentations, briefing notes and summaries for senior management and the Board of Directors. * Provide project management support, ensuring all deliverables are tracked and on-time. * Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations to maximize Indigenous economic participation. * Collaborate with other functions and departments within and outside of the organization to ensure that initiatives align with broader corporate objectives, legal requirements, and Project timelines. * Monitor and analyze evolving market conditions, government policies, and best practices related to Indigenous Economic Participation and infrastructure projects to inform strategy and implementation. The requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law or other relevant discipline. * Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Indigenous Economic Development, Indigenous project finance with experience in co-designing initiatives with Indigenous communities, ideally within the transportation, infrastructure or natural resources sector. * Strong understanding of Indigenous rights, history, cultures and the unique legal, political, and economic context of Indigenous peoples in Canada. * Proven track record in building relationships with Indigenous governments, leaders and organizations. * Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills. * Proven experience in developing and managing relationships with Indigenous communities, leaders, and organizations. * Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, financial institutions, and community representatives. * Action and results-oriented with a proven ability to drive complex projects and agreements to completion. * Bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written, is preferred but not a requisite. Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Law with 8 to 10 years of experience in Indigenous Economic Development or project finance. Must have a deep understanding of Indigenous rights and a proven track record of building relationships with Indigenous governments and leaders.
