Please note that the candidate may be based in one of our 2 offices: Montreal or Toronto. The role The Media Relations Coordinator provides operational and logistical support to the Corporate Communications team. Reporting to the Manager of Media Relations, the coordinator helps ensure the smooth management of key processes, including handling public correspondence, tracking media inquiries, coordinating workflows, and supporting the planning and execution of internal and external events. The responsibilities Support the Corporate Communications team in day-to-day coordination, tracking, and organization of communication activities. Manage incoming public correspondence by ensuring timely processing, routing, and follow-ups in alignment with internal protocols, including coordination with our partner, Cadence. Monitor media inquiries and ensure timely processing, tracking and follow-up. Assist in the preparation of communication materials and provide administrative and logistical support for internal and external communication initiatives. Contribute to the planning and organization of events (internal and external), including coordination of logistics, stakeholder communication, and onsite support. Maintain team calendars, documentation, and tracking tools to ensure efficient workflows and adherence to deadlines. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support the timely execution of communication deliverables. Provide support for content preparation and other tasks as required by the Corporate Communications team. The requirements Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, administration or a related field. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, juggle strict editorial deadlines and event schedules. Good copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills. Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple files simultaneously. Familiarity with media monitoring, tracking, and measurement. Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and capacity to adapt quickly when a situation arises. Demonstrates professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
