Viking Reinforcing is looking for reliable, hardworking Rebar Placers to join our field team. We are seeking individuals with rebar placing or construction experience who take pride in their work, work safely, and can contribute effectively as part of a crew. Responsibilities Place and tie reinforcing steel according to drawings and site requirements Install rebar for footings, walls, columns, slabs, and other reinforced concrete structures Cut, carry, position, and secure reinforcing steel Read and follow placing drawings and bar lists as required Work safely around cranes, telehandlers, rigging operations, and other construction equipment Complete daily FLHA's and required safety documentation Inspect work areas and identify hazards before beginning work Follow company, general contractor, and WorkSafeBC safety requirements Maintain good housekeeping and organized work areas Work cooperatively with foreman, supervisors, and other crew members Use required PPE and fall protection equipment when applicable Qualifications Previous rebar placing or construction experience preferred Ironworker/Reinforcing Steel experience is an asset Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying rebar Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable working at heights when required Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew Strong commitment to workplace safety Reliable transportation and consistent attendance What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience Benefits package Training and development opportunities Steady work with an established reinforcing steel company Safety-focused work environment About Viking Reinforcing Viking Reinforcing specializes in reinforcing steel fabrication and placing.
