Job summary
Design and guide a production migration from Azure or AWS to Google Cloud Platform, including cloud architecture, data migration, and zero-downtime dual-write and reconciliation strategies. Advise the infrastructure team and present architecture trade-offs and risks to technical and business stakeholders at phase-gate reviews.
Job details
8+ years in cloud architecture roles, with at least 3 years specifically on Google Cloud Platform in an architect or lead capacity. Demonstrated experience designing and executing a live production migration from another hyperscaler (Azure or AWS) to GCP, Deep working knowledge of core GCP services relevant to this program: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Cloud Storage, Memorystore, Vertex AI, Cloud Load Balancing, VPC/Shared VPC, IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud Trace/Monitoring. Working knowledge of the equivalent Azure services being replaced: Azure OpenAI, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, Azure Cache for Redis, Application Insights. Experience with LLM-based application architectures, ideally including agent-orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain and familiarity with the practical differences between LLM providers (prompt behavior, JSON-output reliability, context-window/cost tradeoffs) when migrating between them. Experience designing data migration and dual-write/reconciliation strategies for production systems with zero-downtime requirements. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD orchestration (Harness preferred, or equivalent), sufficient to guide — not necessarily implement — the infrastructure engineering team. Strong stakeholder communication skills; comfortable presenting architecture trade-offs and risk to both technical and business audiences at phase-gate reviews. Good to have Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification. Nice to have experience in evaluating or architecting with Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK), for informing future-state agent architecture decision
