Role Overview We are seeking a motivated Project Geochemist with a focus on developing geochemical and water quality models for mining operations. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong foundation in geochemistry, enjoys interpreting complex datasets, and takes ownership of building robust, predictive models that guide mine planning, operations, and closure decisions. The ideal candidate will primarily lead mine-related modeling and testwork programs, while also engaging in research and development to advance geochemical and water quality models. The role is designed for someone ready to take technical ownership and work closely with project teams and clients to deliver scientifically robust solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate mine-related geochemical testing programs (e.g., static tests, humidity cell tests, column leach tests, etc.) Interpret geochemical testwork to support predictive modelling and decision-making Develop, calibrate, and apply geochemical and water quality models for mining projects at various stages in the mining lifecycle (i.e., mine development, operations, closure) Design and evaluate modeling scenarios, sensitivities, and uncertainties Integrate water balance and geochemical processes into forecasting frameworks Review and guide analytical and data workflows developed by junior staff Prepare and review technical reports Collaborate with senior staff to ensure data integrity and traceability Qualifications & Experience B.Sc. degree in Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field 2-8 years experience Eligible for P.Geo. (Professional Geoscientist) or P.Eng.
