Your tasks at a glance You welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a positive first impression of the clinic. You register patients using our medical software, verify demographic and appointment information, and maintain accurate electronic medical records. You schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments while responding to general inquiries and directing patients to the appropriate team members. You monitor patient flow, communicate wait times, and support an efficient and seamless clinic experience. You process patient payments, prepare invoices, and complete daily cash balancing and end-of-day closing procedures. You notify Patient Counsellors of cancelled or missed appointments to support timely patient follow-up and continuity of care. You maintain a clean, organized reception area and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks. A clear view of your assets You have excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written). You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset). Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: medical assistant, receptionist, medical secretary or scribe, administrative assistant, physiotherapy assistant, optometry assistant, orderly, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, veterinary assistant, etc.). You are looking for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where your ability to work in a team and excel at multi-tasking will be an asset. You stand out for your organizational, collaborative, autonomous, multitasking, and time management skills. You are flexible and willing to travel to all three Calgary clinics (TLC Calgary SW, LASIK MD Calgary & Gimbel Eye Centre). Schedule: You have flexibility to work Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
