REQUIREMENTS : Registered with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB); Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Three years' experience in psychiatric nursing care; Certificate in psychiatric nursing / mental health (CNA) would be an asset; Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate; Good knowledge of the following computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Training in non-violent crisis intervention or commitment to take such training within set timelines; Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviours in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting or commitment to take such training within set timelines; Ability to manage stressful situations and to set priorities; Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts; Proven leadership skills; Initiative and sound judgment; Ability to teach and transmit knowledge to others; Individual or group facilitation skills; Ability to act as a change agent;Ability to work independently and as a team member;Physical ability to perform assigned duties;Good previous work history (performance and attendance);Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
