WHAT YOU’LL DO Support Site Safety Programs * Coordinate and maintain occupational health and safety programs that meet BC OHS and COR standards. * Assist in aligning site safety programs with regulatory requirements and company policies. * Maintain documentation, records, and reports for audits and inspections. Build Safety Awareness * Deliver engaging safety orientations and toolbox talks. * Partner with supervisors and employees to reinforce safety practices and positive accountability. * Support the Joint Health & Safety Committees (JHSC) through scheduling, minutes, and follow-ups. Contribute to Compliance and Continuous Improvement * Conduct or assist with inspections, hazard assessments, and internal audits. * Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, identify contributing factors, and track corrective actions. * Help monitor safety data, analyze trends, and suggest improvements. Support Food Safety Integration * Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations to ensure OHS practices align with HACCP, GMP, and FSMS requirements. * Assist with documentation for internal and external audits. WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field * OHS certification or diploma from a recognized institution * 2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role within a food manufacturing environment, preferably in the dairy industry * Proven ability to interpret and apply BC OHS legislation and regulatory standards * Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations * Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills * Intermediate First Aid certification (or higher) is an asset * Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and integrated management systems preferred WHY JOIN US You’ll be part of a values-driven organization built on Integrity, Care, and Expertise (ICE) — improving lives by unlocking the nutritional value of milk. Requirements
