VMAC has multiple Mechanical Assembler openings to join our Packaged Products team, reporting to the Production Supervisor. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play an important role in assembling VMAC products while contributing to our commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement As Mechanical Assembler you will: Follow current drawings when assembling products. Rebuild and repair products where required. Identify and correct bottlenecks. Improve efficiency and quality assembly processes. Follow Production Schedule and prioritize daily work, accordingly, communicating any bottlenecks or flow problems to Production Supervisor. Test and identify all assembled products where required. Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure adequate supply of parts. Report on spoilage, stock damage, shrinkage, and inventory inaccuracies. Monitor inventory levels and report on outages, low or overstock quantities. Ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing goods. Participate in periodic physical inventory counts. Participate in the development and implementation of department objectives. Liaise with other departments internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction. Other duties as required. What You Bring: Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic. Excellent written English and verbal communication skills. High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. High School Diploma or college/vocational or technical training and experience. 1-3 Years of experience in relevant field. General mechanical knowledge considered an asset. Capable of reading detailed assembly drawings. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills. Why VMAC?
