Explore your next role: As a key member of the Kanata team, the Shop Certification Authority will report to the Supervisor, Accessory Shop, and will be a part of the crew responsible for signing off on completed maintenance of aircraft components. Your responsibilities * Verify inspections conducted by Accessory Shop Technician of wheels, brakes, landing gear, and approving any non-routine defects. * Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling wheels, brakes, and landing gear. * Remove and replace defective components and perform return to service testing. * Ensure the work environment is safe and clean; maintain work area and equipment. * Mentor and supervise work being performed by Technicians. * Oversee established procedures for the upkeep and safety of the Company’s facilities and equipment. * Ensure that the work being accomplished is done in accordance with the maintenance policies and procedures. * Uphold and enforce company safety programs and policies to mitigate injury to employees and damage to aircraft. * Duties may include work completed in other divisions within the Accessory Shop. Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success: * 3 or more years of experience in the component repair * Previous Aircraft Maintenance engineer experience is required * College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution or equivalent. Considered an asset. * Able to obtain SCA privilege within six (6) months of hire. * Prior landing gear experience on the King Air Series, ATR 42/72, DHC-8 400, CRJ 200/700/900 is an asset. * Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals. * Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Complete tasks accurately and efficiently, with high attention to detail. * Demonstrated problem-solving skills. * Candidates require basic hand tools. Requirements

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in component repair and a college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved institution. Previous Aircraft Maintenance Engineer experience is required, along with the ability to obtain SCA privileges within six months.
