Priority Patient Transfer Services is currently recruiting for 2 Full Time Patient Transfer Lead Hand & Training Facilitators. One will be based in our Ottawa, Ontario location and one will be based in Kingston, Ontario. These roles are to fill immediate openings. Primary Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Lead Hand & Training Facilitator is responsible for supporting the operational excellence, training, and ongoing development of the Non-Emergency Patient Transfer Services team. This newly combined role leads new hire orientation, delivers ongoing training and coaching to both new and existing employees, and helps maintain and enhance attendant skills to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality patient care. Your Role: Acting as a working lead, you will provide day-to-day operational support by directing and coaching attendants during shifts, You will provide instruction on specific patient transfer assignments, monitoring adherence to company policies, procedures, and clinical standards, You will ensure required documentation and reports are completed accurately. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Supervisors to assess performance, identify training opportunities, support quality assurance initiatives, and maintain appropriate equipment and supply inventory levels You will conduct all orientation & training sessions for any new, or existing staff as needed including the Emergency First Responder Certifications and Refreshers. You will direct and give instruction to attendants as they perform specific runs and give direction where required You will complete reports per assessment or as directed by NEMT Director of Operations You will complete Audits as assigned by Health and Safety You will perform pre-employment and annual driving assessments You will ensure all attendants follow proper procedures as outlined by NEMT Policies and Procedures Manual You will assist with maintaining proper inventory and equipment levels for orientation and training All other duties as outlined by the Operations Manager or Director of Operations The rate of pay is $21.50 to $24.50, dependent on the specific duties of the role. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following: You have experience within the Non-Urgent Patient Transfer industry or a related field You have current Advanced First Aid & CPR Certification and FR Certification or equivalent. You have excellent, strong proven customer service experience. You have exceptional Time and Stress Management skills. You have experience entering data on computer (keyboard skills). You have in-depth knowledge of the Ottawa, Kingston and surrounding Eastern Ontario area.. You have enhanced organization and communications skills. You have in-depth knowledge of Patient Transfer techniques and procedures. You have previous Supervisory, Lead Hand or training experience. You posses a full G licence and a clean drivers abstract You can provide a clean criminal record search with clear vulnerable sector search You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month. You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner. The rate of pay is $21.50 to $24.50, dependant on the specific duties of the role.
