This is a great opportunity for a proactive and technically curious Systems Engineer to support, enhance, and troubleshoot business-critical applications across both IT and Operational Technology environments. You’ll work hands-on with Linux and Windows systems, applications, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and automation while collaborating closely with technical teams, vendors, and production users. This is an ideal opportunity for a resource who enjoys solving complex problems, exploring unfamiliar technologies, and seeing the immediate operational impact of their work—from investigating production issues and analyzing system logs to deploying applications, improving processes, and building automation. Key Responsibilities Investigate and resolve technical issues involving business applications, servers, operating systems, databases, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure. Administer and support applications hosted across Linux and Windows environments, performing configuration, maintenance, upgrades, deployments, and operational troubleshooting. Examine application, operating system, database, and infrastructure logs to isolate failures toward root-cause resolution. Create and enhance scripts or lightweight automation solutions that improve system monitoring and deployment. Participate in application lifecycle activities, including installation, configuration, testing, and release implementation. Work closely with application teams, infrastructure specialists, vendors, business stakeholders, and production personnel. Support continuous operational improvement by identifying recurring problems. Qualifications Minimum FOUR years of relevant technical experience supporting applications, systems, infrastructure, or technology services. Practical knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environments, with exposure to technologies such as Red Hat Linux, Linux services and RPM packages, Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, PowerShell, and VMware. Experience with scripting, programming, or technical automation using Bash/Shell, PowerShell, Python, SQL, or C. Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) as well as Power BI and related reporting integrations. Hands-on experience with application integrations, APIs, web applications, backend services, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret logs and diagnose unfamiliar technical problems. Exposure to manufacturing or Operational Technology environments is an asset. Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
