About The Job Parts Manager We are a proud family-owned business specializing in the sale of semi-trailers, parts, and services, and we are currently seeking a Parts Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Mirabel. Renowned for our service excellence, we offer a unique opportunity to play a key strategic role within a company that has been firmly established in the trailer industry for over 35 years. Short-term challenges awaiting you Structuring and developing the team, specifically by fostering versatility and knowledge sharing. Actively participating in the implementation of a new ERP system and guiding the team through the transition. Optimizing processes and operational efficiency to support the growth of the company and the parts department. Responsibilities Ensure the smooth operation and performance of the parts department by supervising, motivating, and developing a team of 7 employees: parts clerks, delivery drivers, shipping/receiving clerks, and outside parts representatives. Manage purchasing, pricing, and inventory levels (min./max.) to ensure optimal parts availability while controlling costs. Develop and implement sales strategies for the parts department. Work closely with the mechanical shop, sales, and operations teams to ensure excellent inter-departmental coordination. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices, terms, and agreements. Implement and optimize internal processes to boost the department's efficiency and performance. Analyze market trends, sales results, and the competition to identify growth opportunities. Ensure the department's profitability and the achievement of sales targets. Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure customer needs are met effectively. Foster team skill development and a culture of continuous improvement. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts management within the heavy vehicle sector (trucks, trailers, or similar equipment). Solid knowledge of heavy vehicle parts; knowledge of semi-trailer parts is a significant asset. Strong proficiency in inventory management and optimization. Experience in team management and supervision, ideally in an SME environment. Proficiency with computer tools, particularly Excel and ERP systems; knowledge of Prextra is an asset. Experience with-or comfort in-participating in the implementation of a new computer system and guiding a team through the transition.
