Job Title: Epic Beaker / MLAB / WellSky / DI Analyst Location: Canada - Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 5+ years preferred Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Applications Analyst with strong laboratory and diagnostic systems experience to support Epic Beaker, MLAB, WellSky, and Diagnostic Imaging (DI) applications. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting laboratory information systems, clinical laboratory workflows, diagnostic imaging workflows, interfaces, integrations, application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support. Key Responsibilities Analyze clinical and business requirements and translate them into application solutions. Configure, maintain, test, and support Epic Beaker, MLAB, WellSky, and DI applications. Support laboratory, pathology, microbiology, blood bank, and diagnostic imaging workflows. Work closely with laboratory professionals, pathologists, radiologists, clinicians, technicians, and IT teams. Troubleshoot application, workflow, interface, and integration issues. Participate in application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation activities. Perform application configuration and workflow testing. Investigate and resolve production incidents and defects. Support interfaces between laboratory systems, Epic, instruments, and external systems. Maintain application documentation, workflows, configuration specifications, and issue-resolution documentation. Participate in system upgrades, releases, change management, and deployment activities. Coordinate with vendors and technical teams when resolving application or interface issues. Provide application support, training, and knowledge transfer to end users. Epic Beaker Experience With Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology Laboratory orders and results Specimen collection and processing Accessioning Laboratory workflows Pathology and microbiology Blood bank/transfusion workflows Laboratory instrument interfaces MLAB / WellSky Experience with laboratory information systems such as MLAB and/or WellSky is preferred. Knowledge Of Laboratory information systems Laboratory workflow configuration Specimen management Accessioning Results processing Microbiology Pathology Blood bank Laboratory interfaces Reference laboratory workflows Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Experience Supporting Diagnostic Imaging Workflows Is Preferred, Including Radiology orders Imaging scheduling Diagnostic imaging workflows Imaging results Radiology reporting PACS/RIS integration Modality interfaces Clinical imaging workflows Integration between imaging systems and Epic Interfaces & Integration Experience troubleshooting healthcare application interfaces. Knowledge of HL7 and healthcare interoperability preferred. Experience with laboratory instrument interfaces and/or imaging interfaces. Coordinate with integration teams and vendors for interface testing and issue resolution. Validate data flow between Epic, LIS, RIS/PACS, laboratory instruments, and external systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Medical Technology, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of healthcare IT/LIS/application experience preferred. Hands-on experience with Epic Beaker and/or laboratory information systems. Experience with MLAB and/or WellSky is highly preferred. Experience with Diagnostic Imaging applications/workflows is preferred. Strong understanding of laboratory and/or diagnostic imaging workflows. Experience with application configuration, testing, upgrades, optimization, and production support. Current Epic certification relevant to the position is mandatory, if required by the client/project. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. What you’ll do

Configure, maintain, test, and support Epic Beaker, MLAB, WellSky, and diagnostic imaging applications, including laboratory, pathology, microbiology, blood bank, and radiology workflows. Troubleshoot application and interface issues, support implementations and upgrades, validate integrations, document configurations, and provide end-user training and production support.

Requirements

The role prefers at least five years of healthcare IT, laboratory information systems, or application experience, with hands-on Epic Beaker and/or LIS experience; MLAB or WellSky and diagnostic imaging experience are highly preferred. Candidates should understand laboratory or imaging workflows and have experience with configuration, testing, upgrades, optimization, production support, and troubleshooting; a relevant Epic certification is mandatory if required by the client or project.
