An Epic Bridges Interface Analyst designs, builds, tests, and supports HL7-based data exchanges between Epic and external systems (labs, imaging, billing). They ensure data integrity, configure interface engines (like Cloverleaf or Rhapsody), and manage interface monitoring and troubleshooting to support clinical and business workflows during implementation and go-live phases. Key Responsibilities Interface Development: Configure, build, and maintain Epic Bridges interfaces to facilitate communication with ancillary systems. Technical Integration: Map data elements, develop interface code, and utilize integration engines to manage data transmission. Testing and Validation: Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data accuracy. Troubleshooting: Monitor interface performance and resolve HL7 message errors. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with clinical staff and vendor representatives to define requirements. Required Skills And Qualifications Epic Certification: Bridges certification is typically required. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with HL7 standards, interface engines (Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, or Mirth), and SQL. Healthcare IT Experience: Understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical workflows. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to handle complex data integration issues.
