To learn more visit: www.waabi.ai [http://www.waabi.ai] You will... - Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. - Manage consolidation of financial statements across entities. - Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements. - Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity. - Automate accounting processes using AI, including, consolidation, financials statements preparation, close, reconciliations, and reporting workflows. - Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. - Partner cross-functionally to improve systems, data flow, and reporting. - Support audit processes and maintain audit-ready documentation. - Additional ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry). - Strong experience in general accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting. - Deep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to draft technical accounting memos that stand up to audit scrutiny. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. - Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflows, and increase productivity while maintaining accuracy and quality. - Basic coding and scripting skills (e.g., Python) with the ability to build simple automations, analyze data, and integrate AI tools into day-to-day operations. - Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others. - Excitement in supporting a fast-paced high-growth environment. Bonus/nice to have: - Startup/rapidly growing technology company experience. - ERP/financial system implementation. - Licensed CPA. \n \n The US yearly salary range for this role is: $120,000 - $190,000 in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi’s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus. Requirements
