Job summary

Webserv · Remote (Canada) · Full-time · $50,000–$70,000 CAD About the role We’re hiring an SEO Specialist to own the execution of SEO strategy across a small set of client accounts. This is a hands-on role. You’ll run the crawls, ship the technical fixes, optimize the pages, manage the Google Business Profiles, and validate the data that goes into client reporting. You’ll report to the SEO Director and take day-to-day direction from one or two SEO Account Managers — they own the client relationships and the roadmap, you own the execution and, increasingly, the diagnosis. Success looks like accurate, on-time, QA-clean work your Account Managers can put in front of a client without rework — and steadily growing independence in working out what a site needs before anyone tells you. Most of our clients are in behavioral health and healthcare. That means YMYL content standards, real compliance constraints, and work where getting it right actually matters. The part we’re most excited about We’ve spent the last while rebuilding how SEO execution actually happens here, and AI is load-bearing in it — not a bullet on a capabilities deck. You’ll have a serious toolkit on day one. Claude and Claude Code for analysis, research, content QA, and building things. Our platforms — Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC, Airtable, call tracking — are wired in directly, so cross-referencing data across five sources is a question you ask rather than an afternoon you lose. You’ll build the workflows, not just run them. Our content pipeline, monthly reporting, publish recaps, and client dashboards were all built in-house by people on this team. If you catch yourself doing something manual for the third time, the expected response here is to automate it — and you’ll get the time and the help to do it. You’ll work on AI search itself. A growing share of what we do is making sure clients get cited accurately in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and AI Overviews — entity and Knowledge Graph work, structured data, citation tracking. It’s genuinely unsettled ground, and you’d be working on it early rather than reading about it. You’ll be around people who are good at this. Small, senior team where these tools are part of how everyone works — not something one person champions while everyone else waits it out. What you’ll do Technical SEO — Run crawls in Screaming Frog and document findings in prioritized, plain-language format. Execute fixes directly: metadata, redirects, canonical logic, internal linking, schema, XML sitemaps, robots directives. Monitor Core Web Vitals, crawl errors, and indexation, and flag regressions before they hit performance. QA every change post-launch. On-page & content — Optimize service and location pages against target keywords and intent. Review AI-generated and writer-produced content for accuracy, E-E-A-T, and YMYL sensitivity before it publishes. Implement author and credential markup. Build keyword and content briefs to the approved strategy. Local SEO — Maintain Google Business Profiles end to end: categories, services, attributes, Q&A, posts. Manage citation consistency and NAP hygiene. Monitor local pack visibility. Reporting & data integrity — Pull and validate GA4, GSC, Ahrefs/Semrush, and call-tracking data. Verify every figure against source before it reaches a client-facing deck. Draft first-pass “what moved and why” observations. Maintain rank tracking and Looker Studio views. Automation & tooling — Build and improve the internal workflows that make this work repeatable: n8n automations, reporting pipelines, QA checks, custom tooling. Document what you build so the rest of the team can pick it up. CRO support — Implement approved on-page conversion changes: CTA placement, form adjustments, above-the-fold structure, mobile paths. Document what changed and when, so results stay attributable. Execution management — Manage your own queue in Asana across both Account Managers. Flag blockers early. Never let a deadline arrive unannounced. What we’re looking for 1-3 years of hands-on SEO execution experience, agency or in-house Working fluency in GA4, GSC, and at least one of Ahrefs or Semrush Screaming Frog or equivalent crawler experience Comfortable editing content in WordPress; comfortable reading HTML and basic schema Genuine curiosity about AI tooling. You don’t need to have built automations before — you do need to want to. Clear written English — you can explain a technical problem to a non-technical reader Behavioral health, healthcare, or other YMYL experience is a plus, not a requirement What we offer Unlimited PTO — and we mean it. Take the time. Fully remote. No office, no hybrid expectation, no return-to-office plan waiting in the wings. Health benefits from day one. Flexible start time. We care when you're available for clients and teammates, not when you log on.
