Job Description We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to join our team. Responsibilities Oversee solution architecture activities related to core technology services as part of a new back-office system implementation program, ensuring effective coordination across cloud, container, database, integration, security, and operations teams. Develop, maintain, and govern end-to-end Solution Architecture Documents (SADs) and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), ensuring architecture deliverables remain current, complete, and aligned with program objectives. Lead architecture reviews, technical assessments, risk management, and governance activities while ensuring compliance with architectural standards, governance committees, and project approval requirements. Ensure alignment of solution delivery activities across various technology workstreams, including Azure, OpenShift, SQL, IBM MQ, networking, security, and observability. Coordinate the resolution of cross-functional technical dependencies, issues, and risks to support progress through development, testing, deployment, and production milestones. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, platform services, and engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient, scalable, and maintainable technology solutions that meet business and operational requirements. Perform other related activities and deliverables as required. Qualifications University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline. A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in Information Technology, including at least five (5) years of experience in Solution Architecture within complex enterprise technology environments. A minimum of five (5) years of recent experience designing and delivering cloud-native and container-based solutions using Azure, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenShift, and/or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including both server-based and serverless application architectures. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Azure IaaS infrastructure, including networking, security, data protection, and workload portability, with the ability to advise on cloud deployment models and architectural best practices. Demonstrated experience architecting highly available, resilient, and scalable solutions across multiple sites, regions, and cloud environments, including the use of Azure Availability Zones, Availability Sets, Site Recovery, and Azure Well-Architected Framework principles. Demonstrated experience applying FinOps (Cloud Financial Management) principles, cost optimization strategies, governance practices, and risk management in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated experience supporting the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and resolving complex technical risks, issues, and dependencies while collaborating with architecture, engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations teams. Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Solution Architecture, including architecture governance, technical assessments, architecture documentation, and the management of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). Strong knowledge of security, networking, high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, observability, and cloud infrastructure required to support mission-critical enterprise applications. The consultant must be eligible to obtain a Reliability Status Security Clearance, which requires a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable personal history. Candidates must possess at least ten years of IT experience, with a minimum of five years specifically in solution architecture within complex enterprise environments. Proficiency in cloud-native design, Azure infrastructure, and container-based solutions is required, along with eligibility for a Reliability Status Security Clearance.
