Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Personal Trainer/Customer Service role located in Campbell River, BC. The position involves providing one-on-one and small-group training sessions, designing personalized workout plans, and coaching clients on proper exercise technique and safe use of equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting clients, answering questions, managing appointments, and supporting membership inquiries and sign-ups. The role also covers maintaining a clean and safe training environment, monitoring equipment, and collaborating with team members to ensure a high level of client satisfaction. The Personal Trainer/Customer Service team member will be expected to promote gym programs, track client progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of exercise science, strength training, and general fitness programming. Ability to deliver clear, supportive coaching and provide safe instruction on equipment and techniques. Strong customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and professional communication. Organizational skills to manage schedules, appointments, and client follow-up efficiently. Comfort working in a team environment and collaborating with colleagues and management. CPR/First Aid certification and a recognized personal training certification (or willingness to obtain). Previous experience in a gym, fitness studio, or client-facing role is an asset. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
