Job summary

The temporary Holiday Set-Up Representative is responsible for assisting in the set-up and tear down of various holiday displays and decorations throughout West Edmonton Mall. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparing West Edmonton Mall for the holiday season by setting up holiday themed displays and decorations, including Halloween, Remembrance Day, Christmas, and New Years. Transporting and setting up decorations, set pieces, lighting equipment, and other specialty entertainment equipment. Assisting with the tear-down, safe packaging and storing of all holiday decorations and set displays. Ensuring that safety policies and procedures are always met. Using hand tools including, but not limited to, drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. are used daily. Removing or altering current displays and maintaining displays throughout each shift. Other responsibilities as required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as cooperative working with peers in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule that allows for regular weekday, weekend, days, and night shifts. Physically capable of performing the set-up and tear down of displays and must be able to work at heights. Ability to lift and walk with a 30lbs load. Experience in theater productions or events setup and tear down of show floors is an asset. Previous Aerial Platform and/or Fall Protection experience or certifications are an asset. Knowledge of basic hand tools usage and safety is an asset. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a temporary position starting October 5, 2026 and ending on or before February 7, 2027 that requires flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and night shifts. Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and the physical ability to lift 30lbs and work at heights. Experience in event setup, theater production, or aerial platform operation is considered an asset.
