Manning Forest Products in Alberta is currently recruiting for a Planning/Silviculture Supervisor. You'll do: * Preparation and submission of operational and reforestation plans. * Field work including cutblock and road layout. * Management of Division Environmental Certification program. * Management of GIS records and general Divisional data. * Supervision of commitments made as part of our Forest Management Plan. * Communication with Government of Alberta, including various stakeholder groups. * Prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, reporting, and budget preparation for reforestation activities. * Program coordination with other members of the Planning/Silviculture team and the Operations team. * Additional responsibilities include monitoring contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certifications, and health and safety programs. You have: * A forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma * A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Professional Forest Technologist (RPFT) designation for Alberta (or be eligible and willing to earn this designation) * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges * Strong proficiency with GIS applications * Strong commitment to safety Considered an Asset: * Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience * Previous leadership experience What We Offer: * Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires a degree or diploma in forestry or natural resources and an RPF or RPFT designation for Alberta. Candidates must demonstrate leadership experience and proficiency in communication and organizational skills.
