The Western Development Museum (WDM) – Moose Jaw is accepting applications for an hourly Maintenance Assistant – Part Time. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for successful custodial services and general labour duties. Provide quality custodial care and housekeeping of the facility and grounds. Provide excellent customer service to museum patrons, volunteers, clients and co-workers. Assist other staff and departments as needed. Always be visible, professional, helpful and proactive. General duties as assigned in pursuit of the results of the job. The Successful Candidate Will Be Experienced In The Following Demonstrated working knowledge of general workshop procedures and associated safety practices. Comfortable working with a wide variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment. Willing to work long hours and non-traditional shifts while on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to work in a physical labour environment. First Aid and CPR certificate preferred. Class 5 Saskatchewan driver’s license. Candidates should have working knowledge of workshop procedures and related safety practices, and be comfortable using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. They must be able to perform physical labour, work long hours or non-traditional shifts while standing for extended periods, and hold a Class 5 Saskatchewan driver’s license; First Aid and CPR certification are preferred.
