Western operates contract drilling services across Canada and maintains a United States presence through Stoneham Drilling. Within Canada, Western also provides well servicing and high-quality rental services to support a broad range of customer needs. Across all operations, the company remains committed to safe, efficient, and reliable energy service solutions. The Driller is an experienced crew member of the well servicing rig crew responsible for overseeing well servicing operations. This includes supervising and directing crew activities, operating the service rig and its components, including rig controls, wellhead equipment, and blowout prevention (BOP) systems, and coordinating all rig-up and rig-down procedures. The Driller is also responsible for driving the service rig between locations, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment, mentoring and developing crew members, and well servicing duties in accordance with client requirements, company procedures and safety standards. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor all equipment maintenance and report any issues to Rig Manager Operation of the rig and its components during all well servicing jobs Mentor and train crew members Identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate controls Participate in incident investigations if required and assist with corrective action implementation. Comply with all company policies and procedures Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous service rig experience working in Driller position Valid full Class 5 Drivers license & reliable transportation Air Brakes Endorsement is preferred Preferred Industry Tickets: H2S Alive Standard First Aid with CPR CSO (Common Safety Orientation) Fall Protection for Rig Work Rig Rescue for Rig Work preferred Well Service Blowout Prevention (BOP) CAOEC Driller Competency considered an asset Ability to pass pre-employment testing Fluent in Written/Spoken English Be willing to work in all weather conditions and work environments with work away from home for periods of time What we offer: Immediate Employee Benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage Retention Bonus Matched Savings Program - up to 5% Steady crews with opportunity for local work Driller position is full-time seasonal position.
