Job summary

Westhills Equine Veterinary Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our barn staff team part time, every other weekend! Westhills EVS is located 10 minutes west of Stony Plain (Alberta, Canada) and 30 minutes west of Edmonton and is easily accessed off of TransCanada Highway 16 on Range Road 25. You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as we are not on a bus route. When you join Westhills EVS, you join a group of hard-working and knowledgeable healthcare professionals who encourage continuing education, using a team-based approach, and maintaining a healthy work/life balance. As a Barn Staff member, you are an integral part of equine patient care by being responsible for maintaining our cleaning and feeding standards and overall grounds maintenance. Areas of responsibility include: * Cleaning Stalls & Feeding Animals staying at Facility (70%) * Equipment & General Facility Cleaning (10%) * Grounds Maintenance (10%) * Other (10%) What We're Looking For: * Shifts include every other weekend (Sat/Sun) and some statutory holidays. * REQUIRED: Horse handling experience * REQUIRED: Ability to operate a standard vehicle * Good verbal communication skills (English) * A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence in equine care What We Offer: * Collaborative and supportive work environment * 20% discount on professional service * Cost + 10% on products We thank all who apply; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
