Summary Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation & setup of extrusion lines. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING CONTINENTAL SHIFTS Shift Premium & Additional Incentives offered****** Rate of Pay: $22.80/hr Duties And Responsibilities May include, but are not limited to, the following: Assists in starting up or shutting down an extrusion line in a safe and efficient manner. Must have the ability to run one extrusion line at a time. Assists in all set-ups of products and tooling using proper procedures. Assists with adjustments to the line to achieve maximum output while maintaining safety and quality. Completes operator shift report, operator stat up pre-check and shut-down check lists. Relieves packers for breaks without neglecting the lines. Helps packers with labeling, gluing, lifting and flipping of boxes whenever possible without neglecting the lines. Removes all drums of notches and nail slugs to the grinder. Removes any tooling from the line that is not in use to the designated area as per procedure. Participate in mid and year-end inventory count if required. Adjusts to new procedures & programs as required. Education, Experience And Qualifications Must be able to work 12 hour Continental shift Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset. Experience with the extrusion or other plastic processes, an asset. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Requirements
Must be able to work 12-hour rotating continental shifts and have completed Grade 12 or equivalent. Manufacturing or plastics-process experience is an asset; candidates also need basic math ability and strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
