Job summary

Birthday Party Volunteers assist staff by enthusiastically welcoming party goers into the facility and provide general support to birthday children and parents. Responsibilities: * Assist with set up, take down, and cleaning of party rooms, including wiping surfaces, sweeping floors, and stacking chairs * Welcome guests into the facility and guide them to designated areas * Assist with individual parties as needed (escort guests, help decorate, play games with participants, etc.) * Assist staff in setting up activities in the gym or other facility areas * Assist with general maintenance of the facility and equipment * Ensure the safety of facility patrons and party attendees, and know how to assist in emergency procedures * Actively participate in program activities and interact positively with children * Check messages and communicate regularly with supervisors * Log hours on the appropriate time sheet * Be reliable and punctual (arrive ready for shift in proper uniform) Qualities * Willing to learn new processes and follow procedures * Enthusiastic, helpful, welcoming, and comfortable interacting with children and adults WORK TERM: * September – June. * Saturdays and Sundays * 1-2 shifts/week. Shifts are 3-5 hours long. QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS REQUIRED: * Between 13 and 17 years of age. * Completion of minimum of Emergency First Aid with CPR C or Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion. * Completion of Volunteer Training – Provided by Westside.
