Job Description The Department of Paediatrics is seeking a full-time associate. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. Successful applicants are expected to have an academic appointment at Toronto Metropolitan School of Medicine Accountabilities: Participate in the general paediatrics call schedule at Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital Participate in the patient care team service at both inpatient sites and work in the urgent paediatric assessment clinic with additional opportunities to participate in ambulatory clinics About the program Osler is a designated Regional Maternal Newborn and Paediatric Centre with an Advanced Level 2 NICU. Inpatient beds are comprised of 39 NICU beds and 26 inpatient paediatric beds. Qualifications The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario Have certification in General Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and/or hold Fellowship in Neonatology from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. An interest in providing paediatric office-based care in the community would be an asset Additional Information Osler is a primary clinical partner for Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine and is an academic community partner with the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine and McMaster’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Successful applicants are required to participate in academic activities, which may include teaching, research, or quality improvement initiatives. If the applicant does not currently hold an academic appointment with a medical school affiliated with the hospital, they must submit an application for a faculty appointment within three (3) months of their hospital appointment.
