Position: Industrial Electrician Locations: Mississauga OR Etobicoke Pay rate: $43.00 - $45.00/hr to (depending on experience and location) + applicable shift & additional certification shift premiums Available Shifts Rotating Days and Nights (7-7) Straight Night Shift (11pm – 7am) Straight Afternoon Shift (3pm – 11pm) Straight Nights (7-7) Responsibilities PLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment; weight scales VFD, Servomotors and network communications experience. Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules Previous Food industry experience preferred Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures. Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment Continually improve equipment function via design improvements Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Requirements Industrial Electrician License (442A) or 309A is required 3-5 years of industrial, electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry General knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist all trades people as required Problem solving skills and good communication skills are required Comfortable using computers Ability to work well within a team and independently Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs You really enjoy working in a fast paced environment where every day can bring new and unique challenges Ability to work a flexible shift day/afternoon/night, Sunday to Saturday.
