First Class Power Engineer (Steam Chief) Location: Cold Lake, Alberta Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day Compensation: $105.00/hour + 2 weeks' annual vacation + Benefits Employment Type: Employee or Contractor About the Opportunity WSG is seeking a highly experienced First Class Power Engineer (Steam Chief) to lead operations under a long-term industrial maintenance contract in Cold Lake, Alberta. This is a critical leadership role responsible for serving as the designated ABSA permit holder and ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the facility's steam and boiler systems. Key Responsibilities Act as the designated ABSA permit holder for the facility. Provide operational leadership and technical oversight of steam generation systems. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and operational requirements. Lead operational planning and coordination with maintenance personnel. Monitor equipment performance and system reliability. Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Maintain accurate operating documentation and records. Qualifications Valid First Class Power Engineering Certificate. Extensive experience operating and managing steam generation facilities. Strong knowledge of boiler, steam, and related process systems. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience. Thorough understanding of ABSA requirements and industry best practices. Additional Information Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in or willing to relocate to Cold Lake. Travel, accommodations, living-out allowance (LOA), and relocation expenses are not provided.
