Assess scope changes, contractor claims, delays, risks, and material requirements to provide timely recommendations and protect project outcomes. Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to resolve estimate assumptions, contract changes, and claims. Drive value through design and specification reviews, benchmarking, and practical alternatives that improve cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Strengthen estimating capability by mentoring junior estimators and sharing consistent tools, methods, and professional judgement. THE SKILLS THAT SET YOU APART Extensive project estimating experience on complex industrial, mining, oil and gas, power generation, or comparable capital projects. Advanced ability to develop CAPEX, OPEX, owner-cost, and construction estimates and document assumptions, exclusions, risk factors, and estimate methodology. Strong analytical and quantitative capability, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and practical use of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Experience reviewing engineering data, scopes, specifications, change requests, contractor claims, and benchmark information for completeness and cost impact. Knowledge of ACCE (K-Base) and/or InEight Estimate (Hard Dollar) is an asset. Professional fluency in English and French, supporting frequent collaboration with clients and partners in Quebec and outside the province. Ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, ambiguity, and evolving scopes while maintaining accurate, high-quality deliverables. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, support negotiations, communicate complex cost information clearly, and mentor developing estimators. WHY CHOOSE WSP?
