The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing payroll and tax returns. They also coordinate work activities, train staff, and ensure the smooth operation of equipment and office processes.

Schedule events, programs and activities Schedule work Train workers in duties and policies Prepare and submit reports Ensure smooth operation of equipment Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Ensure accuracy of financial transactions Co-ordinate, assign and review work Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Arrange for maintenance and repair work Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments Reconcile accounts Prepare payroll Perform basic bookkeeping tasks Prepare tax returns Requirements Must have a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years. Must have 5 years or more of experience in accounting. Must be able to communicate in English and fluency in Spanish is considered an asset. Must be willing to work at the physical location. Must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people. Must have experience using accounting and financial software, including Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, QuickBooks, SAP (FI/CO, HR, MM, OT, SD), Simply Accounting, Oracle, spreadsheet software, Xero, accounting software, and Sage Accounting Software. Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and manage a large caseload. Must be accurate, client-focused, flexible, organized, reliable, a team player, and have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and good judgment.
