WHAT YOU WILL DO As an Infant Toddler Educator, you will deliver high-quality early learning experiences: * Plan, implement, lead, and evaluate curriculum aligned with YMCA Playing to Learn™ * Develop programs based on children’s interests using observation and emergent curriculum principles * Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support developmentally appropriate programming * Actively engage with children while coordinating the needs of staff, children, and families * Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and quality service * Maintain licensing and safety standards in all program settings and outings * Implement behaviour support plans using a child-centered approach * Participate in and promote YMCA philanthropy and community initiatives WHAT YOU BRING * Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate with Infant Toddler Certification (required) * Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills * Enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for working with young children * Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR Level B or C WHO YOU ARE * Committed to the YMCA mission, vision, and values * Service-oriented and focused on creating exceptional experiences for children and families * Strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills * Collaborative and supportive team member * Caring, creative, and adaptable WHY JOIN US * Be part of a growing child care program in Penticton * Work with a passionate and supportive team of educators * Access opportunities for professional growth and development * Make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families * Benefit from the ECE Wage Enhancement program Additional Requirements * Provide three professional references * Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months of start date) * Completion of YMCA onboarding and safety training The YMCA of Southern Interior BC is an equity employer and encourages applications from all individuals who may contribute to the diversity of our workplace.
