Position: Wellness Coach & Personal Trainer Rate of Pay: $17.60/hour (Wellness Coach) $25.00/hour (Personal Training) Start Date: October, 2026 Compensation/Benefits: A YMCA personal membership at our health and fitness branches A discount on our Childcare and Camp programs Vacation entitlement in accordance with the employment standards regulations Benefits package – applicable with position and contract length Qualifications & Experience: 2 or more years of training/post-secondary education in Physical and/or Health Education or related field along with 1+ years related work experience or a combination of both education and experience is preferred Personal Training Certification Must be available to work early mornings (6am start) Current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification Group Fitness Certification and experience is an asset Excellent customer service skills Computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel, & Outlook Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers Responsibilities: YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in your daily work Provide coaching, direction and demonstrate techniques in the use of equipment and the expected outcome/benefit of so doing on the fitness floor Conduct Wellness Coaching sessions and individual programs Monitor/supervise access and use of equipment within the weight room area Routine maintenance/tidying of Health and Wellness Centre Highly physical job; will be required to manage varying amounts of weight-cleaning and moving equipment We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of post-secondary education in a health-related field and 1 year of work experience, along with a Personal Training certification. A current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening are also required.
