QA Analyst – Retail Technology (Oracle Xstore 17) Vancouver - Onsite 5 days Full time Role Expectations: The QA Analyst works on project involving Retail Point of Sale systems for ex. Oracle Xstore 17. • Translates business requirements to functional and technical requirements • Defines minimum feature set, acceptance criteria, user acceptance tests • Contributes to planning and implementation for new applications and systems • Monitors system performance and recommends enhancements for underperforming areas • Applies in depth knowledge of applications in troubleshooting or problem-solving across teams. • Documents Manual TestCases, Regression and Smoke testsuite to identified problems • Thinks to improve the quality of product and QA best practices. • Assists in testing and participates in test phases prior to UAT • Updates technical specs based on testing, prioritized defects or post-release lessons learned • Supports communication for application/system deployment • Knows to reproduce production issues into Stage and QA environment for debugging. • Effectively manage and report on QA risks and mitigation and QA timelines. • Develop relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for QA timelines. • Ability to manage in Agile, Kanban and Scrum environments. • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple project deadlines. • Stakeholder communication - Any deviations in QA timelines are tracked and dealt with in a timely fashion. • Familiarity and Experience with Java unit testing frameworks would be considered as a great asset. • Understands SDLC and the significance of Shift Left and the need for test automation towards the same. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Networking and Computer Systems or Equivalent experience. • Automation experience in Oracle Xstore 17 or desktop devices is highly valued. • System Performance Testing Experience for Oracle Xstore 17 will be considered an asset. • 5+ years of QA experience. • Prior testing experience in Oracle Xstore 17 is highly vaued or similar Point of Sale registers/ devices. • Technical Documentation skills, Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Familiarity with IT SDLC processes, Agile, Scrum, Kanban • Compliance requirements such as PII, PCI & SOX. • Ability to successfully work with different project teams with competing priorities.
