What We're Looking For As a Computer Vision Software Developer II you will work on Computer Vision projects turning Zebra’s core algorithms from prototypes to high quality product ready code. You will design and implement strategies for optimizing computer vision algorithms for different hardware architectures (e.g. x86, GPU, multi-core ARM CPU, AI accelerator) based on performance, power and size constraints. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Location- ***Role is required to be onsite in the Montreal, Canada office. (Hybrid- Minimum of 3 days in the office per week). Responsibilities Development of turning prototyped computer vision and deep learning algorithms into high-quality product ready code Design and provide strategies for optimizing computer vision algorithms for different embedded system and mobile devices Participate and provide input in project code reviews Receive general instructions to routine work, new projects or assignments Design and/or review architected modules and software systems supporting new technology or improving capability/performance of existing functionality Take responsibility for communicating with different engineers (embedded systems, backend server, computer vision) to continuously improve and optimize implemented algorithms Create automated software tests and provide support to trouble shoot software issues when needed Documentation of software architecture Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree required or preferred a Masters in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related field. 2+ years of work experience Basic understanding of computer vision; key areas of interest: image classification, segmentation, anomaly detection, object detection, OCR Strong C, Modern C++ and Python programming skills Preferred Knowledge on inference libraries: ONNX RT, OpenVINO, TensorRT, LiteRT Optimization experience on embedded GPU and AI accelerator platforms: Nvidia, ARM Parallelized & vectorized computation Knowledge on training libraries: PyTorch, Tensorflow GPU programming experience using CUDA or Open CL Knowledge in Vision-Language Models (VLMs), Vision Transformers (ViTs) and advanced CNNs is an asset Experience in using GenAI development tools (GitHub Copilot) is an asset French language skills are preferred Location- ***Role is required to be onsite in the Montreal, Canada office. Responsabilités Transformer des algorithmes de vision par ordinateur et d'apprentissage profond au stade de prototype en code de haute qualité prêt pour la production. Concevoir et proposer des stratégies pour l'optimisation d'algorithmes de vision par ordinateur pour différents systèmes embarqués et appareils mobiles. Participer aux révisions de code des projets et y apporter sa contribution. Recevoir des instructions générales pour le travail courant, les nouveaux projets ou les nouvelles affectations. Concevoir et/ou réviser des modules et des systèmes logiciels qui soutiennent les nouvelles technologies ou qui améliorent la capacité et la performance des fonctionnalités existantes. Assurer la communication avec les différents ingénieurs (systèmes embarqués, serveur dorsal, vision par ordinateur) afin d'améliorer et d'optimiser continuellement les algorithmes mis en œuvre. Créer des tests logiciels automatisés et fournir un soutien pour la résolution des problèmes logiciels au besoin. Documenter l'architecture logicielle. Qualifications Exigences minimales : Baccalauréat requis ; une maîtrise en génie informatique, en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe est préférable. Plus de 2 ans d'expérience professionnelle. Compréhension de base de la vision par ordinateur ; domaines d'intérêt clés : classification d'images, segmentation, détection d'anomalies, détection d'objets, ROC (reconnaissance optique de caractères). Solides compétences en programmation C, C++ moderne et Python. Qualifications Souhaitées Connaissance des bibliothèques d'inférence : ONNX RT, OpenVINO, TensorRT, LiteRT. Expérience en optimisation sur des plateformes de GPU embarqués ou d'accélérateurs d'IA : Nvidia, ARM. Calcul parallélisé et vectorisé. Connaissance des bibliothèques d'entraînement : PyTorch, Tensorflow. Expérience en programmation GPU avec CUDA ou OpenCL. La connaissance des modèles vision-langage (VLM), des transformateurs de vision (ViT) et des réseaux neuronaux convolutifs (CNN) avancés est un atout. L'expérience avec les outils de développement d'IA générative (GitHub Copilot) est un atout. La maîtrise de la langue française est souhaitable. Pay Range $90,960.00 - $136,440.00 Annual Incentive Compensation In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
