Job summary

ZenaTech is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented HR Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team. This role will help ensure smooth HR operations across onboarding, records management, benefits administration, and employee support, working closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll as ZenaTech continues to grow, including through newly acquired business units. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records Full recruitment life cycle support and lead Support onboarding logistics for new employees, including preparing offer and onboarding paperwork, setting up personnel files, and coordinating first-day activities. Respond to routine employee questions about policies, benefits, and HR procedures, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate HR team member. Help prepare HR letters and documents (employment verification letters, offer letters, policy acknowledgments) using established templates. Support the coordination of performance review cycles, training sessions, and other recurring HR programs. Assist with tracking compliance items such as required trainings, certifications, and probationary period milestones. Help maintain and organize HR policies, forms, and the employee handbook, ensuring documents stay current. Support HR reporting by pulling and organizing data on headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics. Assist with integrating HR processes and records for newly acquired companies as part of ZenaTech's ongoing acquisition-led growth strategy. Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling, filing, and correspondence. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in an HR assistant, HR coordinator, or general administrative support role. Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail, especially when handling confidential employee information. Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (documents, spreadsheets, calendar management). Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times. A post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
