Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description Join a dynamic team focused on designing and manufacturing innovative medical devices. This role involves significant research and development, contributing to new concepts for various medical applications. You will be part of a team entering a crucial phase of product development, supporting the design specification and testing process. Responsibilities Execute early-stage prototype testing, including force testing, competitor benchmarking, and image quality benchmarking. Produce detailed technical write-ups documenting test configurations, conditions, results, and statistical analysis. Design jigs and test fixtures in SolidWorks to support test activities. Conduct testing under the guidance of sr. engineers, adhering to established protocols and reporting anomalies. As proficiency is demonstrated, potentially take on expanded product design responsibilities. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Biomedical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a product development environment. Demonstrated experience with systematic testing and result documentation. Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing test fixtures. In-depth experience with statistical analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the medical device field is advantageous. Familiarity with imaging tools and metrics, such as Imatest. Experience with optics and cameras. Proficiency with Python, Minitab, or MATLAB for testing.
